At all these festivals we have competition sign up sheets where you can enter for a chance to win a FREE 10lb box of apples, shipped directly to you.
We will also be present at 5 JMU Home Football Games and 2 Basketball Games in 2009, where you can sample some of our apples and get more information about our orchards.
Community Outreach
We have an Educational Outreach Program we call “LEARNING AND EARNING”. We partner with schools in the area to educate children about horticulture, specifically the “tree to table” concept that many children are not aware of (i.e.: what does it take to grow an apple before it appears on our lunch or dinner table?). We have members of our staff who can come to speak to school children in their classrooms, and the talks can be custom made to be relevant to the subjects that are being explored currently.
